A payment authorisation is a hold of funds on your account, it is not an actual charge. We make a authorisation of $1 on your card whenever you make a booking request to confirm your payment method is valid. The funds are held for 7 days from the time you place the request regardless of whether the request is withdrawn, accepted, declined or expired.
The specifics of how this authorization is processed will depend on whether your payment method is a debit or credit card, and your issuing bank’s policies.
Funds will typically be available in your account within one business day of the hold finishing but, this may take longer depending on your bank.
